ORDER INFORMATION

When you place an order or make an enquiry with us we obtain some or all of the following data. This information is only used for the purposes of fulfilling the order or enquiry and will not be disclosed to a third party nor used for marketing/mailing purposes. In many cases only some of the following may need to be obtained.

Paper records of an order will normally be held for a maximum of 13 months to allow for repeat ‘anniversary’ requests or in case of query. After this time the order details will be securely destroyed unless there is an outstanding debt relating to the order. Once the debt is settled and if the order is 13months old or older the paper record will be securely destroyed.

In the case that you request us to retain information relating to a recipient(s) to whom you regularly send gifts we shall hold that information securely in paper form until such time as you tell us you wish to discontinue whereupon it will be securely destroyed.

When you contact us by email, the email will be retained on our system for a maximum of 37 months and will be deleted during this period. If you are placing an order by email or by using the email form from our website this will mean that your personal data and the personal data of the recipient(s) will remain in our email system for a maximum of 37 months.

ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS

If you are an account customer then your transactions with us will be retained for a maximum of 6 complete company years and 1 month (our year end is December 31st). On our invoices only the name of the recipient(s) will appear. The name of the person placing the order may also appear on the invoice. If your account is inactive for 6 years or more your data will be destroyed or anonymised.

DATA SHARING

As a general rule any order that you place with us for delivery in the Isle of Man will be executed and delivered by our own staff. For orders to UK addresses we usually send the item direct from our shop using Isle of Man Post Office & Royal Mail Special Delivery. On occasion, it may be necessary for us to place an order direct with a UK based florist or to use a relay company.  In such cases only the recipient’s name(s), address and, if applicable,  telephone number and email address will be passed over along with any message that you wish to be sent (such message may of course contain your own personal details or those of others).

If you wish us to arrange a delivery to a country outside of the UK we would normally use a relay company. On rare occasions we may place the order direct with a local florist. In such cases only the recipient’s name, address and, if applicable,  telephone number and email address will be passed over along with any message that you wish to be sent (such message may of course contain your own personal details or those of others).

To provide our services as stated above, we use the following providers. Certain personal data as described will be shared with these providers to deliver the relevant service. This data is only used for the purpose for which it is supplied.

DELIVERIES

On occasions when a delivery is attempted by our staff or by one of the providers mentioned above if the recipient(s) is not at home or available the item for delivery may be left with a neighbour.
